INTERNATIONAL SAFER INTERNET DAY

International Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised in February each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world.

MOBILE PHONES & GAMING

In relation to this initiative ‘Mobile Phones & Gaming’ is available for use cross-college and for CPD. Young people are increasingly at risk when using phones and while gaming on-line. This module covers the following:

  • Mobile Phone Security & Apps

  • Anti-virus Software

  • Changing Phones

  • Scams

  • Console Games

The module has ‘OFF-THE-SHELF’ content, and software marks a multiple-choice test at the end of the module, thus NO PREPARATION, NO TEACHING AND NO MARKING is required. The module requires 20-25mins to complete. MEASURABLE OUTCOMES mean SMT and Ofsted reports can be generated automatically.

‘Mobile Phones & Gaming’ is an individual module of the component AIM L1 Internet Safety for IT Users, which is generously funded by ESFA. The module list is shown below:
